DESIGNS FOR PLAY
In each sketch is a development of different ideas of play.
Through brainstorming, playing, and reading; I found myself interested in the most simple, complex, and open form of play. From mostly pretend and constructive, I’ve learned that I play within the realm of finding imagination by creating through lines on paper or tape, and using it as a tool to help me understand the world around me. I use my mom’s stories from her kids at work, and by picturing myself as a kid again, I get a sense of what would be exciting to play with at that age. My goal as a designer is to find the opportunity to expand the possibilities of unlocking the imagination we need through play.
