It's based on the song Summerland by Half Alive. This is Cyanotype with a screenprint. At first, it was meant to be an experiment using different textures and negative shapes for design. I was listening to the song while playing with my shapes and I heard it mention, "Flowing Rivers, It's all romance." Although I was intrigued by every lyrical pattern in the song, this line stuck with me and relates to my love of surfing and my relationship with the salty sea. I haven't surfed for a long time ever since my dad passed away. To me, this was a way of expressing how much I've longed for the affection the waves gave me.
